Project — Sustainability Report

Ensto Oy is a leading expert in electrical infrastructure, a company whose work sits quietly at the heart of the energy transition, enabling the kind of grid modernisation and renewable integration that the shift away from fossil fuels depends on. Their story is technical by nature, but no less human for that.

For Ensto's 2023 Sustainability Report, I contributed as both writer and editor. The writing work centred on the report's most demanding pieces, the CEO's opening message, which needed to carry the weight of the organisation's vision with clarity and conviction, and a series of case studies bringing to life the technical complexity of Ensto's work in the field. The editorial work involved reviewing and refining the broader report to ensure a consistent voice throughout. The briefs ranged widely, from arc protection systems and wind farm infrastructure to energy efficiency and organisational culture. In each case the task was the same: to find the human story inside the technical one, and render it with enough precision to be believed.
